Questions about Orveil.

Straight answers about plans, payments, contracts, files and delivery. Prices are in US dollars.

What is Orveil?

Orveil is a client delivery platform for photographers, filmmakers and creative studios. One project holds the whole job: upload and touch up the shoot, design a branded client gallery, attach a contract and an invoice, and deliver. The client signs and pays on the same page, and downloads unlock when the payment clears.

Who is Orveil for?

Photographers who deliver galleries to clients (wedding, portrait, family, event, real estate and commercial work), filmmakers who deliver films along with stills from the same shoot, and small studios and agencies that want the whole team working in one project.

How much does Orveil cost?

There are three plans in US dollars. Free is $0 forever with 15 GB of storage, up to 50 projects and 50 photo touchups a day. Pro is $20 a month with 500 GB, unlimited projects and touchups, custom branding and a custom gallery domain. Studio is $99 a month with 2 TB, 10 full permission collaborators, white label galleries and no daily limits. Free can send 30 gallery emails a day and Pro 200. Client payments on any plan carry a 2% platform fee plus Stripe's normal processing fee.

Is there a free plan, and does it expire?

Yes. The Free plan has no time limit and needs no credit card. It includes the Gallery Design Studio, scheduled delivery, 15 GB of storage and up to 50 projects.

How do clients pay me?

Payments run through Stripe Connect. Your client pays you directly and the money goes to your own Stripe account. Orveil keeps a 2% platform fee per payment, Stripe's normal processing fee also applies, and Orveil never holds the money.

Can clients be required to sign a contract and pay before they download?

Yes. Attach a contract and an invoice to the gallery. Clients can browse the photos at any time, sign the contract on their phone, and pay on the same page. Downloads unlock automatically once the contract is signed and the payment clears.

What file types can I upload?

Photos in JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF; RAW files including DNG, CR2, CR3, NEF, NRW, ARW, RAF, ORF, RW2, PEF, SRW, RWL, 3FR, FFF, MEF, MRW and X3F, with previews in the browser; and video files. Each file can be up to 20 GB, and large batches keep uploading while you work.

Can I edit photos in Orveil?

Yes. Touchups let you adjust exposure, color, HSL and the tone curve, crop and straighten, and save your own presets, right in the browser without exporting. RAW files are edited from their built in JPEG preview. The edit shows in the client gallery and in the downloads. Free includes 50 touchups a day; Pro and Studio are unlimited.

Can I deliver video?

Yes. Photos and video live in the same project and the same gallery, so a hybrid shoot arrives as one delivery. Video plays in a clean player inside the gallery, styled with your gallery design.

Can galleries use my own branding and domain?

Every plan includes the Gallery Design Studio for layout (masonry, grid or slideshow), fonts, colors, templates and background textures. Pro adds your logo, a cover photo, the option to hide the Powered by Orveil credit, and a custom gallery domain. Studio adds white label galleries with no Orveil branding anywhere.

Can I password protect a gallery or make the link expire?

Yes, on Pro and Studio. Galleries are private by default on every plan.

How do clients choose favorites and give feedback?

Inside the gallery, clients mark favorites, leave a star rating and write notes, so selections and feedback come back to you in one place instead of across texts and emails.

Can my team work in the same project?

Yes. Invite a second shooter, an editor or your client into the project and see their changes as they happen. Every plan includes up to 10 view only collaborators; full permission collaborators are 1 on Free, 3 on Pro and 10 on Studio.

Can I schedule when a gallery is delivered?

Yes. Scheduled delivery is included on every plan: pick a date and time up to 30 days ahead and Orveil sends the gallery then.

How is Orveil different from a file transfer link or a cloud folder?

A transfer link or shared folder only hands over files. Orveil delivers a branded gallery under your own name and logo, collects favorites, ratings and notes, attaches the contract and invoice, and only unlocks downloads once the client has signed and paid. Editing, design, contracts and payments live in the same project, so nothing gets copied between tools.

Does Orveil work on a phone?

Clients can open the gallery, sign the contract, pay and download on any phone. The photographer workspace, including touchups and team collaboration, is built for a computer and runs in any modern browser.

What languages is Orveil available in?

Sixteen: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Arabic and Hindi.

Are there desktop or mobile apps?

Desktop and mobile apps coming soon!

Is Orveil still in beta?

Yes. Orveil is in beta and ships changes most weeks, based on what the photographers and studios using it ask for.
